What Gamers will do for Competition

I have a main board that is all of 3 years old. Windows 7 just works, and only by a hair. This is very welcome news. If the OS used USB 3.0, fine, the bad new is if your main board has no PCI-E (the very short slot) you will have to upgrade your entire board to use USB 3. I did a post on the Biostar I have so I will check it.
Give your password problems to LastPass
What's great? LastPass! I notified many of my friends about Yelp!, and the general feedback was no way (including my BF; it is mentioned in Chapter 4!) but one person mentioned something I have to deal with. My list of passwords. I have so many passwords that they are kept in a notepad file without any password protection. I thought to myself one day that all someone has to do is get that file, and all my holdings everywhere will be open to being pilfered.
I had heard of LastPass before, but said to myself I need to do something before I lose my temper. Finally I thought, why not try something new? Once I downloaded LastPass I ran it, and it found so many passwords that it too about a half hour to sift through them all until I had the ones I wanted, and then I deleted them ALL. Now LastPass holds them all within its memory and I have only to remember one password. That’s right, 1 PW. Imagine all the memory it will free for thinking of important things! Below is the Windows and Mac versions, and sorry about Yelp! The iPad version is premium software, but there is a Safari version that is freeware.

SoundCloud Project
I really like SoundCloud. What was looking like another communication tool turned into an answer I was looking for to use my guitar for videos. Please excuse the rawness of the first recording. I Have a Fender Mustang Amp that I am learning to use. My goal is to have beginning music to a web page that is soothing and inviting. Also I could create my own click feedback noises that are useful and sometimes humorous.

I want to communicate a quick note. It took me more than a year to learn how to find computer parts and assemble a working computer. It may sound easy, but you cannot afford to make mistakes, and the parts have to all match perfectly once you assemble them. The above link is a main board that won over the other boards, because it was backwards compatible, had expandability and could take the fastest chip I could afford at the time, with the ability to buy even faster microprocessors in the future. It had to get all five star reviews. Doing that with presence of mind and care takes a lot of research, but you can end up with a great computer in the end!
This video is covering a topic I want to pursue in the future if I can attract gamers to buy my computers. $$$!

The Wave is Passing By
The Wave formation in Utah (please click to see The Wave)
The Internet serves a function. First, it was for the
military, then it branched into the university environment, and in its form today,
it is for communication and commerce. Now millions are using and with some good
decision-making by 1983 the military had broke away and created their own Internet.
It would have not been possible without a flow of research money from the
government and universities.
During pauses while working at a call center, I
would read the history of computers and the internet at the only site open to
us, the Microsoft site. While others played Sudoku or talked, I would read the
stories of the men who designed the Internet which was envisioned at MIT, and I found out about the early struggle
between scholarly uses of the Internet and military uses, and how the inventors
were dismayed to see their plans go to the military. It’s not that I don’t like
Sudoku, but in fact I learned the true reason of what interconnection was meant for, and once I knew I felt that I
wanted to be part of the use for education and not exchanging MP3’s or gaming
on the Net with buddies. That is why I chose to attend college online.
The WWW is now very fast |
The Internet is full of information. It seemed
easy to me, just as learning to program and build computers. I now can see I
have been standing inside the Internet a lot like someone standing in the
center of the Wave formation. The panoramic view is so very interesting. I
could admire it forever, but now I am beginning to understand the WWW is
not for looking and admiring. It has mundane uses that make money, like making a call center more efficient. Now I want contribute so the Internet becomes the tool for learning it was meant to be.
